Dental Insurance - Back to the Basics

Even the most seasoned dental team member should go back to the basics on occasion. This course will be beneficial for all dental team members including those new to dental insurance. To ensure proper submission of clean claims, the team should keep up with the ever changing world of dealing with insurance. A Q&A session will be included following the presentation.  A quiz will be provided at the end of the course to demonstrate your knowledge.

Course Objectives:

After the course attendees will:

1. Recognize the information necessary to submit a clean claim that is paid the first time. 
2. Demonstrate the ability to understand the importance of proper CDT coding to follow the coding guidelines.  
3. Understand and apply what you have learned to differentiate specific procedure codes based on the dental materials involved in the procedure. 
4. Gain an understanding of self-funded and fully-insured plans, summary plan descriptions vs plan documents.
